I am busy doing my laundry today and am determined to get my gifts wrapped. That comes next as soon as I get off here. I found a recipe in the paper yesterday I am thinking of making. It sounds like something my grandson who is coming for Christmas might be able to eat. I am going to contact the Celiac organization to make sure. It looks so easy and fast I thought I would share it here.
Alice's Skillet Cookies
Melt together in skillet:
1 stick margarine
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
Add: 8 ounces chopped dates
Cook over low heat for 5 minutes
Add: 1 teaspoon vanilla
Pour mixture over 2 cups Rice Krispies and 1 cup chopped pecans. Mix and form small balls. Roll in powdered sugar.
Sounds good Lois. I got my presents wrapped the other day. I need to make cookies and fudge yet though. Hugs.
