YELLOW

I just got home from the doctor's office. I had a lot of tests done today. One of them required injecting dye into me. It was a vegetable based dye and they said my skin would turn yellow. It has. I am officially yellow!! What I don't remember them saying but my husband does is that I will probably stay yellow for a day or two! Not happy about that. Anyway.....the results are: I have scaring of the retina. That is good and bad. It does not require any surgery at this time. It may never get any worse then again it may never get any better either. I have to go back in six months to see if it is progressing. I guess I must learn to live with it. Talking to the doctor about what surgery would entail makes me more apt to just want to live with it. The doctor said he doesn't really want to do the surgery even if it gets some what worse. He said it is a very involved and delicate surgery and some people don't even get the results they are looking for even when the surgery goes perfectly. I think I would have to be really really suffering to ask for it to be done. I can live with this I just don't like it. So that is what happened to me today. My eyes are still dilated from the drops I had and I am going to go and get away from the computer screen.

  1. Yellow, I always liked the color yellow, but people are going to think your johndis. I'm sorry you didn't get the answers you wanted Lois. You could get a second opinion, sometimes that's a good idea. Are there any prescription lenses that would help? I feel for you Lois.
((((((((((Lois))))))))) Sometimes after we get use to having a problem for so long, after awhile we don't even notice we have the problem any longer. I hope it's that way with you. God Bless Lois.

  2. Oh Lois, I am sorry it wasn't the best news. What caused the scarring, did he say? What Judy says is very true. I can hardly remember what it was like to not be so numb all over anymore I have had this for so many years now. I have gotten used to not feeling things on my skin. Maybe you will become used to your vision deficiency in that one eye. It may just become a habit to look at things the way you have to to see as well as you can. Just trying to think of something to comfort you. Big hugs sweetie!!

  3. Lois, sorry to hear about the scarring.
You might think about vitamins that are aimed at healing eyes. They really do work and might speed some healing there.
    Might be worth a try.
We are in your corner and will keep you in prayer for a complete healing.
Gods knows what you need. :)
    God bless.
