this and that

I got up this morning and it was 1 degree outside. The wind chill made it like 14 below zero. I had some things I needed to do outside so we waited till almost noon to do them. I think by then it was up to about 13 degrees. Not my kind of weather. I was bundled up and so managed to keep warm enough. While I was shopping I heard Jingle Bells sung by Dean Martin and I kept thinking why is someone playing that when there is other music playing. Then it dawned on me! It was my cell phone in my pocket ringing. I had put that song on for the holidays. Thank heaven I was able to get to the phone under all my coat and my gloves and earmuffs that were in my coat pocket. It was my granddaughter wanting to ask me a question. After coming home and pealing off all the warm outer coverings we were able to put things away. I wasn't able to get what I wanted but I think I can make do. I think I will make do because I do not want to go back out! It is supposed to get warmer though.....what crazy weather. I am fixing something this year that has cauliflower in it.
