Rainbows are more than just pretty
I am thinking positive.....that being said I will say that it is cloudy and snowing. Oh, did I mention cold? So far today I am feeling good. I had a touch of something yesterday that made me feel not so good. Lynn was that way the day before so I think what ever he had I got. Guess that is kind of the way things go when you live together! I am just happy that today is another day and a better day and we both feel good. We had our 30 minutes of exercise together in the exercise room. I should probably do a little laundry today. Other than that it is a quiet day. Still waiting on the paper to get here. With our delivery man it all depends on when he gets his papers from the newspaper and they are very unreliable. So today must be a late day. Lynn and I are using a schedule to read the Bible in a year. Today we read Genesis 9:1 - 17. It was good to read. It told of G-d blessing Noah and his family after the flood waters had receded. The rainbow is a sign of the covenant made to all the creatures on earth not to ever kill all with a flood again. How neat is that? I will never look at a rainbow again in the same way. With that I leave you and go to make a positive statement on the day!
Hi Lo, Glad you are feeling better today. We have snow here and it is brrrr cold!! I hate the snow. How neat that you and Lynn are reading the bible together. Tony and I say the Scriptural Rosary together many days. Sometimes he is in such a hurry that I say it alone, but he always notes that and the next time says it with me. It makes for a nice close Christian relationship in your marriage when you pray together doesn't it!! That is what God wants, us to honor him together in our marriage.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are feeling better. What a nice idea, reading the whole Bible together throughout the year. Terry and I say the rosary together sometimes when we are in the car. Not enough times I know. They say "those that pray together stay together."
ReplyDeleteIt's consoling to know that other newspaper carriers have to deal with the same thing. Mom used to wait sometimes up to a couple hours for the papers to be dropped off for the carriers. It drove her nutts. She was so happy when she could quit delivering. :]
ReplyDeleteRainbows are so pretty! The coolest part to me about Hashem's bow is that the promise wasn't made just to humans, but to the animals as well. I love that. :]
