Thoughts

Instantaneous forms of communications today with e-mail, cell phones, social media.  People don't want to write an actual letter and wait for a reply now days.  Have you noticed how it seems people can't even walk down the street or drive a car without a phone to the ear or texting?  Psalm 143:7   "Answer me speedily, O Lord; my spirit fails!"  No one likes delays. Not even with prayers. Everyone wants immediate response to what ever communication is used.  Yes, I do e-mail and yes I have a cell phone and am on Facebook.  I do however actually write an actual letter now and then.  I prefer talking in person or on the phone to e-mail.  I think I have enough time now that I am retired that I don't seem to need immediate responses to much of anything.  Life is much different for me these days and you know what?  I like being more relaxed about things.  I enjoy quiet and solitude more than when I was younger.  It is easier now  to stop and see things around me and enjoy quiet moments.  Is this what age is all about?  Oh well....not bad!

  1. People are forgetting how to write. Kids no longer have penmanship in school and they print everything.
I don't like the changes and I think they are not for the better in some cases.
Yeah, I think age is a time for reflection.
    Have a great evening Lois.
