First Snow

Today was our first snow fall.  Not a big one.  Just enough to cover the grass and shrubs but the streets remained clear.  A couple times it got kind of gray outside and the snow came down kind of heavy.  The sun did come out though and kept the snow from building up.  So it is cold and looks like the kind of day to stay in and stay bundled up and maybe fixing some hot chocolate.  If I had a fireplace it would be time to start a cozy fire.  If I still had a dog or cat I would have them snuggled up on my lap.  As it is, I have no fireplace.  I have no pets anymore.  I am on a new eating regimen that doesn't allow hot chocolate.  So I have sweat pants on, a long sleeved shirt, warm slippers, hot coffee, and looking out the windows thinking how blessed I am.  A roof over my head, heat to warm me, food to nourish me and love of a wonderful husband.
