I am up early but no children around here to scream and yell for presents under a Christmas tree. No cookies around to eat. I won't even be celebrating the day with family. With my boys, now men and fathers and living in different cities from me and from each other it is just me and hubby. Our day to celebrate will be next week when all can gather together at our youngest son's home. Then we will have our family time and fun and laughter and good food. I used to feel bad about being alone on this day. Not any longer. It finally occurred to me that now I can meditate on just what this day is meant to celebrate. Not getting and giving presents. Thinking about our Lord. I feel blessed and loved. Merry Christmas.
