A good day

The sun is warm and bright this morning.  It was raining with lots of thunder during the night.  I managed to sleep through most of it.  Not much planned today.  I need to get some laundry done but if it gets really warm again today I will put that off.  I live on a one floor home and we made an opening in the wall between the kitchen and family room.  Very close to that opening is the door leading to my laundry room.  Since my air conditioning thermostat is on that wall and close to the laundry room, the dryer heats up that thermostat and starts the air conditioning.  We never thought about that happening when making that window like opening in the wall.  It won't present a problem in the winter but it sure does during this time of year.  With the cost of electricity now days I try not to have that air conditioner running any more than needed.
