Well...will this end all the TV coverage? Probably not. I have a feeling we have more weeks ahead of us yet. So many things happening in our world and we dwell on the death of Michael Jackson. I was going to put a picture of him here but the good pictures he doesn't resemble anymore. The bad pictures of what he looks like now are too sad. When all this started I was just upset with all the adoration. Now after having been forced to listen to a lot of it I must admit to different feelings. I think he was a man who had no childhood and was mistreated by an abusive father. He grew up with no conception of how to be an average person. I used to believe he was a child molester but I don't believe that anymore. I think he just loved being around young children because he was one himself. Tragic personal life but a gifted performer. BUT..come on now. Why are we celebrating like this? Is it because of the free concert at the Staples Center? Is it so people can have their 15 minutes of fame saying they were there? Maybe it is so years from now they can say what they were doing when it happened. Like remembering what you were doing when JFK was killed or Woodstock..did you see it? Somehow I am not able to wrap my mind around this compared to Presidential assassinations but that is what it is becoming...A big deal about what?Tuesday, July 7, 2009

I'm just so glad the whole thing is over, or is it. Now they have to settle all this other stuff. Will it ever end. It will be like Anna Nichole. Never ending. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteIts going on far too long. It can only harm his children now too.
ReplyDeleteYoung people have very different ideas today about whats important and what really isn't
Oh gosh! If it were a choice between having the insanity surrounding MJ's death or Anna Nichole, I'd have to side with MJ's crowd. I still can't believe the fuss over Anna's death when she was just a playboy playmate. that was pathetic.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I'm pretty certain when I was on my scooter, I saw MJ and Elvis pass me in a car.
PS: Woodstock? I don't remember where I was. Elvis's death - I was in the top bunk in our camper watching tv when it as announced. JFK? Sitting on the floor of our living room cursing his funeral for interrupting my cartoons. MJ? On Twitter when the news broke on it. lol
