Well I know this is getting to be an old story but maybe blogging about it will make me get on with things. Wednesday morning I woke up and my eye was all bloodshot. It was giving me some discomfort so we called the doctor that did the surgery last year. After two calls to the office I was told I should probably see my regular eye doctor. So a call was put into him and he got me in right away. He said it was broken blood vessel but the thing that really upset him was that the pressure in my eye was very high. Now I have been putting drops in that eye morning and night for some time for pressure problems. This doctor wouldn't let me go without putting a drop in my eye right away. Then he gave me drops to put in the eye only at night along with the drops I have been using. He wants to see me again on the 17th. In the meantime the eye is still very red but after he put what ever drop he put in my eye it did feel better. According to this doctor and the surgeon that did my eye lift the steroid shot I had from the first doc that did the surgery that messed me up.....caused the pressure. In fact now I learned that the shot can actually cause glaucoma but I was never told that or I would never have had it done. My regular eye doctor tells me the steroids should be out of my system by now so he is surprised I am still having pressure problems. All I can say is CRAP!!! I am so sick of eye problems.

Hi Lois,
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear about this. Will be keeping you in thoughts and hoping this heals up quickly and pressure goes down to normal.
I hope you can have a relaxing and refreshing weekend. You deserve it after all this.
Oh Lois I am so sorry to see that you are still having so much trouble with your eye. That is terrible and your eye is so red. Surely there must be something they can do to reduce the redness and the pressure. Do you think maybe wearing a patch over you eye while your at home might help? I'm just pulling at straws here, I don't know. Have you been reading allot, and maybe that is straining it? Just guessing here. My heart goes out to you Lois. Maybe even being on the computer too much could be hurting it. I know my eyes get tired when I'm on the computer for a long time. Oh Lois I really feel for you. You have been dealing with your eye problems for such a long time I know you just wish they would be over with. You will be in my thoughts and my prayers. Keep thinking good thoughts Lois. I really care. Hugs. Judy
