We have had lots of news late last night and today about Osama Bin Laden having been killed. Most people are happy and glad he is finally gone. Others ....on Facebook....are saying that how do we know he is dead since we dropped him in the ocean. They question whether the government is actually telling us the truth. It is just like people questioning if Obama is an actual citizen or a Muslim. Our country has become so cynical and mean about everything that it is almost impossible for people to believe anything. I know that Pres. Obama has not always done what the people felt he should. I know the un happiness over his leadership. I am old enough to have been raised with the belief that once a man is elected into the position of the president of our country he deserves the respect given to that office. I may not agree with all he does or doesn't do but I do NOT believe in saying the horrible things that people are saying about him. He is after all our president and a human being. I believe that Osama is dead. I am glad that someone who has been thought of by the people that are against us and for him is gone. I also know that God has a reason for allowing all that has happened to happen and I do not question that. I know that those in Osama's family that loved him are grieving him now. He was a father, a son, a husband, a brother of someone. I long for the time when I am in a place with my Savior and God where love abounds and the hate and discord and unrest and uncivilized behavior is over.
I am just glad that he is dead. I would have liked to have seen his body burned so we could have watched. Now I just hope his body stays at the body of the sea forever and ever.
ReplyDeleteMy heart goes out to all the folks in the south that were hit by the tornado's this past week. There is a mess down there and tornado season hasn't even really started. That parts scary. God Be with them all as they put their lives back together.
When this world is over and a new one replaces it, we can all breathe a sigh of relief.
ReplyDeleteThings are awful today in so many ways.
