Here we are again. Another week has passed and I am ready to let all know I am still among the living by doing my weekly blog. Oh the happiness at some cooler temperatures. I have been able to enjoy a little more of being outside. Yesterday my loving hubby even took me to Dairy Queen and I had an ice cream cone. Loved that. I am still refilling my hummingbird feeders, it won't be long and the little birdies will be leaving for where ever they go for the winter. I wonder if they go even if the weather here stays warmer longer? Just wondering as I sit here and type. I imagine though that nature programs into their little heads that it is time to go when September rolls around no matter what the temperature is.
Today I phoned my eye doctor and let them know I have heard nothing about my surgery since being there on July 28th. I was told they hadn't forgotten me and with so many surgeries being scheduled I was still in the mix. I want to make sure they hear from me now and then. You know that saying, the squeaky wheel gets the grease or is that oil? At any rate I am squeaking! I was assured I would be in before my deductible runs out. I told them that is my main concern, wanting to be in before the end of the year and not having to meet a deductible again on my insurance. So still playing the waiting game. I am not eager to have surgery again but do want to get things fixed and out of the way.
Still hearing nothing but bad news in the political arena and with problems going on in other countries. The economy is still in bad shape and the job situation is awful. I am trying not to stress too much about any of this. If you look back in our history you see where bad things have happened before and eventually turned around. It seems like in life we have to experience these things every so many years. Leaving it in the Almighty's hands.
My husband is in the garage working on a project. He is building something he saw in a magazine to put next to my chair. I looks like a ladder but fits up against the wall with shelves. I think it will be very decorative and useful too. After this he has plans for a new headboard for a bed. It is really unique too and I can 't wait to see it. The family/room is all painted and the chilled mint color is so light that we don't need as many lights on as before. I just love it. So cool and calm and clean looking. That is it for today. This week is looking good for getting out and about and all is well with me.
Just wanted you to know that I made it in to read. So, your efforts aren't being ignored. Thanks for your updates. Huge hugs!
ReplyDeleteHi Lo!
ReplyDeleteI hope you can get the surgery over soon.
Yes, I think its all in God's hands, We don't need to worry much about things. He takes care of us if we love him.
I love those ladders that lean on the wall :) Maybe you will post a picture of it when its done.
Have a great week.
ah the memories of Dairy Queen. Best ice cream there is! : )
ReplyDeleteWe cheated this year with feeding the hummers. Mom has a huge butterfly bush and they love it. : )
So, do we get to see pics of the "chilled mint?" : )
Still getting hummers here too. I'm sure they will call you for your surgery sooner or latter, but sooner would sure be better. I did like the color in the picture of your family room. I guess I'm reading your blogs backwards, as I'm catching up. It's a very soothing color.
