I got out! Yesterday it rained on and off most of the day and that cooled things down. We had been invited to a picnic with our small group from church and the home we went to has a screened in area. So even though it rained before we got there it quit and we were in a screened in area anyway with comfy chairs and no worries about bad weather. The food was great. Everyone brought something and we have a lot of good cooks. Stayed late and enjoyed the company and being out of the house at last. The only bad thing was this. Our group has been together longer than most groups. Usually after three years you split up and start a new group with new people and maybe become a leader of a group yourself. Our group has been together for five years. We are like family now. Some of us have left and one couple formed a group of their own and are doing well. I don't know what we are going to do now. Our age and my health present a problem so we may just for go getting into another group. We have decided to all keep in touch though and maybe at holiday times all get together again.
Now on to another good thing happening in my life. My husband is painting our family/sun room. We picked a color that we have never had before and we love it. It is mint green. Kind of makes you feel like it matches the outdoors at this time of year with the green. It is so light that it brightens the whole room and makes me feel so much better. Plus when the snow falls the minty color will make the snow look better too. The old color was a brown on all the walls except one and that wall had a muffin yellow color on it. Now the whole room is one color and it is more light and bright and nature like and I love it. So..that is what is going on for me right now. Oh sure I have some complaints but not going to mention them. I am just going to bask in the minty glow of happiness that I am sitting here looking at.

Sun room color sounds so pretty. Green is refreshing in a room and picks up your spirits.
ReplyDeleteI hope you can keep your group going because it sounds so nice.
