I have rights
I am sitting here getting awake. Coffee and reading my e-mails and watching morning television. A beautiful time of year and so much talk on the television of disasters and the violence that happened to the children in CT. My husband who gets up a lot earlier than me said he heard about other countries and how they handle allowing people to have guns. So different. I know we live in a land of freedom and I am happy to be living here...but...we have become so worried about having a right to do this or do that. A freedom of speech to say what ever we want. No matter whether it hurts another or does damage, we have a right! Then there is the political in fighting going on now too. Huge amounts of spending that has put us in a bad situation. One political party wanting to make their point and not wanting to compromise with the other. Too many profiting from what they have done and now don't want to do what should be done. BUT...we have rights. So sad. A time of year when we should be happy, looking to our faith and loving one another. Well I am going to pray and read my bible and put my faith to work. I will be happy at this time of year! I have rights!

Yes. We often forget that even when we disagree, we should be thankful for our right to do just that!
