A Good Day

Just thought I would check in for a bit.  Today has been a good day.  I got some laundry done and some cooking and visited with a neighbor.  The weather is just about perfect.  Sunny and not too warm but not too cold, kind of just right!

I have been doing a new eating plan...protein and low to next to no carbo's.  It has made such a difference in just two weeks.  I started this because of a friend of mine who has been eating like this for years and does very well.  The first book she recommended to me was Life Without Bread. How a Low-Carbohydrate Diet Can Save You Life.  It even mentions in one part of the book that it improves the well being of people with MS.  I can attest to the fact that it has done that for me.  This book has back up information from medical journals, graphs, trials with people.  PH.D's MD's have written and contributed to this book.  Then I read Protein Power another book that gives me guidance with this way of eating.  The inches are falling away as is the weight and I am feeling better.  I know lots of people don't buy into high protein/low carbohydrates but look at the way people eat today and how heavy they have become.  I feel we have been mislead.

  1. Hi Lois have done the South Beach before and that is low carb, and I think I need to go back. Congratulations on your weight loss.

  2. Good luck with that diet. I don't know if I could follow that diet. I love bread too much but I do have to watch that I don't eat too much of it.
