Clean or not

Okay...so maybe housework doesn't kill but it can sometimes tire a person out!  You would think with only two people living in the house and no pets anymore that things would stay pretty clean and neat.  It is hard to believe how dust accumulates and how things can suddenly appear on the carpet when you know you didn't drop a thing there.  What about sinks that have water run in them daily and they still get dirty.  Oh and windows that have blinds on them and curtains over them and yet, they too get dirty.  Speaking of blinds, those pesky things can get absolutely grimy.  Then there is the washing machine.  Another thing that has water and soap run through it regularly and yet, a smell can be detected.  Now they actually have something you can run in the washer to clean that out.  I never knew that could be a problem.  I heard on the news recently that dishwashers can actually develop mold around the door and that you should check that out.  I did and I shiver to even admit this but when I used a disinfectant cloth around the door it came out with some black on it!  Do you feel dirty yet?  I hate to say it but I do.  So maybe housework won't kill but if you don't do it you may die from the dirt.  Think about it.

  1. I think the less people in a house the more dust it gets.
I spray Lysol into my washer after each wash. Its a front loader and they get nasty if you don't. I leave the door open for a while to air it out or it can get that awful smell.
I hear you. Housework isn't for wimps!

  2. I enjoyed your post today. I see the things I need to do and some thing get done and others wait. Just depends on me. Note to self. Remember to rinse out the tub after cleaning, before soaking in it! :) Almost forgot. I can only imagine what would have happened had I soaked in it!
