Tis the season

This has been a good and a bad week.  I enjoyed doing some things around the house like getting decorations out for Christmas.  Then I had a couple days of not feeling well.  I have changed my way of eating for the last couple months.  Just eating meat, vegetables and fruit.  No processed foods, or sugars or starches.  The book I read Protein Power said eating this way cured a lot of ills and lots of people ended up being able to go off of medications when eating like this.  Well, I think that is part of what has happened to me.  I have been on blood pressure medicine and this week it went so low it put me down!  Today I skipped the medication and my pressure is staying good and I feel better not having it go quite as low as it was.  I am going to check with my doctor next week to make sure I am not doing something I shouldn't by not taking the pills.  Today we went to church and the children put on a program.  It was so cute.  The little boys that played shepherds were darling.  One of the ones playing a king had a crown that kept slipping down, it was too big for his head.  Then one of the "angels" was so animated while singing it made all the rest of the angels look pretty mild.  This year has been so much more meaningful for me.  We are attending a different church this year and there is so much more going on to make the season bright.  More to come right up to Christmas Eve.  This year I really feel blessed to have met so many lovely people that have made us feel so welcome.  Today there was a family meal after church with loads of food and fellowship.  I was so worried I wasn't going to be up to going but I was and am so happy I did.   A wonderful day.

  1. I notice a huge difference in my body when I keep eating crap. Chanukah is never good for me that way. LOL

It's not fully over yet. I make donuts as gifts for everyone. You know I'm going to be sneaking some as I go. :)
