What a morning it has been. Woke up to icy rain falling. Then the electric went off. Since we are all electric here it got kind of cold before it came back on. Isn't it amazing how dependent we are on electricity? How did those people before us....long before us.....live? I got under the covers in bed with gloves on and read. Finally bored myself to sleep. Thank heaven the heat is back on and the TV is up and the computer is on!! Shame on me for being so dependent on all this. It is snowing outside now. Under the snow is ice. I am just glad I have a roof over my head. Imagine homeless people! Imagine poor animals without loving owners to take care of them! So many blessing to count.

Just sittin around

Your right we are so dependent on all our nice things. Imagine having to go back to getting warm by a fire side. I'm just glad all the snow and stuff is finally over in our area and hope Terry can get home tonight.
ReplyDeleteI think of the homeless people I know from the dinners that live under the bridges in Cinci. I can't imagine how they cope on frigid nights like these. Glad you are back "on" and are warming up.
ReplyDeleteEverything here is covered in ice so the birds are really hungry. A finch showed up at my window looking for food. I felt so bad that I don't have any bird seed, so I put cat food out. If the road clears enough tomorrow I can get to Rutland and buy bird feed for them. Poor babies.
