Discovery...again

I am beginning to think I am a dunce or something.  Maybe it is just that I failed to do what I am always telling my husband to do.....read the instruction book!  Okay, so I do have an excuse.  The book about my Barnes & Nobel Nook was put away and I really forgot where it was.  Today I was cleaning out a closet looking for something else and came across the Nook Handbook I got with the Nook.  First you have to know that I have one of the earliest versions of the Nook.  I kept reading about the new Nook version a wee bit better than mine and of course the Nook Color and now the Nook Tablet.  The newer Nook has a much longer battery life than mine....good....and you can turn the pages of your book with a swipe of your finger.  Now that is the thing I wanted.  Pushing the button all the time to turn pages was getting old and I wanted to be able to just run my finger over the screen and turn the page.  I CAN DO IT!!!  Sitting down reading the Nook Manual it told me how to do that finger swipe to turn pages with my older version Nook!  I had heard I could do it but it never worked for me.  After reading the instructions..duhhh....I found out how to do it and it works!  So after a couple years of having this Nook I finally learned how to put book shelves in (told in earlier post) and now I have learned to turn the pages.  So today is a good beginning of another week and I am now off of here and back to my book where I am turning pages with ease.

  1. I am so bad at reading directions until I have no other choice and by then I misplaced them.
I am trying to turn over a new leaf though.
Hearing about your Nook makes me want to get one too. It sounds great. When I had jury duty I sure would have appreciated one.
