July is here

It is hot.  Going to be in the 90's all week.  The Fourth of July is coming and that will mean fireworks in the neighborhood all week.  I am too old to enjoy this.  Last night before it got dark we had a terrible storm with winds so bad the trees bent over.  I was so afraid we would have a tree topple onto our roof but thank heaven it didn't happen.   However we did lose our electric and  went to bed hoping for it to come back on before we got too hot.  It didn't come back on till five this morning though!  All is well now and the sun is back out, the heat is on the way but we do have our air conditioning on again.  The silver lining?  No fireworks last night because of the storm!  We have a lot of young people in our area and any holiday or excuse of any kind for that matter produces lots of loud bangs and flashes in the air.  Last night was quiet though except for thunder and wind.  So, I am off to start some laundry and thinking of going out before it gets too warm.  Enjoy the coming holiday and picnics or what ever you might be doing.

  2. The storms had come through here Friday night like gangbusters. The lightning was awful.
We have fireworks all summer long because we are a summer vacation town. You can't avoid it.
