A little rain comes but never enough to cool things down or help the grass much. We must look at the blessings though. The sun is beautiful. We aren't having floods or fires or illness or hunger. Life is good. I have been writing an e-mail each week to my two granddaughters. I decided to also send a copy of the e-mail to my two sons, their fathers. It is telling them about my life from as far back as I can remember. I started out with stories of my life when my parents moved us into my grandparents home when I was around three years old. I have included pictures from that time. I got a note from one son today saying he was finding it most interesting. I have heard from the other son too and he likes the stories also. My one granddaughter has responded favorably but I haven't heard anything from the other granddaughter. That one is kind of busy. She has a job now and a boyfriend and is taking tours of college campuses right now. So I hope she has time to check her e-mail which I have had word that she doesn't do often. My whole idea on doing this was because my grandchildren live a ways from me and I don't get to see them as much as I would like. I want them to know who I am. I have grandsons too but they are a bit younger and lets face it - boys don't enjoy the stories I am telling. One day I will do something that will let them know me better. I raised boys so I think I will handle them a little differently. At any rate they all know me enough to know I love them a lot and I think the feeling is mutual. My husband and I have been watching some DVD's that he was given from a man he attends Bible study with. Most interesting. The one we are watching now is Faith Lessons on the death & resurrection of the Messiah. We have watched it a couple times and learn more each time. Then one Sunday we were watching Days of Discovery on TV and ended up buying the DVD of the series we were watching. Hope for the Gentiles...The Gospel of Mark. That too is so interesting. Well that is what has been going on in my life lately. Hope your week is a wonderful one.

Oh Lois I think what your doing with you sons and your granddaughters is a great idea. I just hope they save it somewhere so they have it to look beck on some day to be able to show to their children and so on and on. It reminds me of when we get together the the grand kids and they are playing ball the Terry always says something like "you kids should have seen your grandmas years ago when she played ball, she was something else", and then they usually ask about me playing ball. Normally they can't picture me running around playing ball with my cane and my lil limp. So I think writing letters to you granddaughters is a great idea. If I could remember more of my childhood I might try that myself. Hugs. I did write a blog today.
