Phone tag

Oh how I hate making a phone call to a business anymore.  It's hard to get a person to talk to you.  They give you options instead of talking to a real person.  Sometimes there is no option for what you want so you have to wait till they get to the part where they tell you to stay on the line .  Yesterday my husband needed to talk to someone in his eye doctor's office.  Naturally he couldn't get to anyone but when he did  she said she would have them call him back.  Didn't happen!  So this morning he called again.  They actually remembered he had called and what he wanted but again after waiting for a person they said they would call back.  It didn't happen and he had to go somewhere so I am hoping that when they call and it is on his cell phone, he will get what he wants.  I sure hope we don't have to go through this again.  Things are so different now days with all the automation and electronic things to deal with.  I worked in an office back before MS diagnosis.  At that time we had strict ways of handling phone calls.  If you didn't do your job you risked being let go.  You also had to know what you were talking about and how to handle things if the boss wasn't around to take the call.  I have noticed now days people on the other end of the phone really don't know what they are being asked or how to deal with situations.  A lot of great things have happened in our lives with some real improvements but sadly a lot of people can only work using electronics and nothing by brain power alone.  Okay...rant done now...feeling better.  Big breath..ahhhhhh
